Latham Fishing was named after Latham Island (Fungu Kazimkasi), a very unique little island situated 45 nautical miles 110º from Dar es Salaam , Tanzania off the East Coast of Africa. With spectacular drop offs and pinnacles, this island plays host to almost all pelagic game species and hosts abundant quantities of Giant Trevally and Dogtooth Tuna.
Latham Island offers some of the most spectacular game fishing in the Indian Ocean! Latham Fishing is based at the Slipway in Dar es Salaam from where we fish the complete coastline of Tanzania.
Our friendly crew is highly experienced and will assist even the most inexperienced 'beginner' in the use of the top of the range fishing tackle and equipment provided. For those die hard experienced fishermen, join us to learn how we do it in EastAfrica!
Combava is skippered by Eric Rauscher and asisted by Alfred Chibogo on the deck. Eric holds an international recognized RYA skipper license ensuring you are in the best hands at all times. Eric is also an IGFAcertified captain and active member of the Billfish Foundation.
